Directional Drillers

We require experienced directional drillers to work in the United States and/or Canada. Our directional drillers are responsible and accountable for all directional drilling duties at the well-site as well as running un-manned MWD systems & trouble shooting while on location.


Location: Western Canada and USA

Pre-employment requirements:

  • Class 5 Drivers' License with clean drivers' abstract
  • Successfully pass drug & alcohol testing

Education:
  • High school diploma
  • Petroleum Technology diploma and/or degree in a related engineering discipline not required, but a definite asset

Experience:
  • Rig experience: minimum derrick hand preferred
  • Previous mechanical and/or electrical experience an asset
  • Competent computer skills: Windows XP, Microsoft Word & Excel, WinServe survey software
  • Comprehensive understanding of drilling and wellbore conditions; and Bottom Hole Assemblies

Skills & Requirements:
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Professional and knowledgeable communication with all well-site personnel
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to drive long distances safely
  • Adhere to corporate HS&E policies
  • Exceptional attention to detail (e.g. ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed and signed by the company representative)
  • Thorough knowledge of MWD tool functions following company training
  • Strong desire to learn and develop skills

Training:
  • All directional drillers will be trained in Advanced Operation of Mud Pulse and EM tools to manage MWD systems from well to well.

 

Trainee Directional Drillers

ARK Directional Services Inc. is seeking applicants for the position of Trainee Directional Drillers. Pre-employment requirements closely resemble those outlined in positions posted above. In addition all applicants should have minimum 3+ years as driller in conventional operations.

 

HSE Coordinator/Fleet Manager

The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of Oil and Gas industry experience working with HSE and/or fleet management. This position would consist of HSE Coordinator responsibilites 65% of full time and Fleet Managment responsibilites 35% of full time.


Location: Calgary, AB

Pre-employment requirements:

  • Class 5 Drivers' License with clean drivers' abstract
  • Successfully pass drug & alcohol testing
  • Must be willing to travel to site locations in the US and Canada on an infrequent basis

Education:
  • HSE Certification not required but a definite asset

Experience:
  • Experience in the HSE Management System development, maintenance and auditing as well as Incident Investigation and Emergency Planning is preferred
  • Experience with ISNetworld is required
  • Experience with PEC Premier is preferred


Skills & Requirements:

The HSE Coordinator plans, implements, evaluates and adminsters all aspects of the HSE Management System in Canada and in the US.

  • Evaluates and ensures the effectiveness and regulatory compliance of the HSE program
  • Maintains and develops the safety program to maintain currency with changing regulations and industry requirements
  • Evaluate and improve safety program to maintain our COR certification
  • Ensures that all company personnel are fully trained in and understand all related aspects fo the HSE program
  • Monitors and ensures that all personnel and contractors conduct their tasks in compliance with the HSE program
  • Provides technical assistance when required on HSE-related matters
  • Handles all HSE regulatory reporting and ensures all required follow-up actions are completed
  • Handles all hazard and incident reports and ensures appropriate investigation and follow-up actions are carried out
  • Plans and conducts regular safety meetings and reports
  • Maintains facility and site emergency response procedures
  • Monitors and coordinates personnel external training requirements

The Fleet Manager coordinates and oversees all activities related to the procurement, operation, maintenance, repair and servicing of the company's fleet of vehicles.

  • Monitor and ensure vehicle safety, operability and conformance to government, industry and company standards
  • Review and implement vehicle inspection and preventative maintenance program
  • Review and coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Evaluate and administer the coordination of external vehicle maintenance contracts
  • Review vehicle-related expenses
  • Coordinate and execute the procurement of new vehicles and the sale or disposal of surplus vehicles
  • Prepare and maintain reports, records and files related to vehicles and vehicle expenses

 

MWD/LWD Engineers

We require MWD/LWD field personnel to work in the United States and Canada. Possessing a US work visa is highly desirable. Our MWD/LWD personnel are responsible and accountable for running Manned and Un-manned MWD systems & trouble shooting while on location.


Location: Canada and USA

Pre-employment requirements:

  • Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driving abstract
  • Successfully pass drug & alcohol testing

Education:
  • High school diploma
  • Petroleum Technology diploma and/or degree in a related engineering discipline not required, but a definite asset

Experience:
  • Previous MWD/LWD experience an asset.
  • Previous electrical experience an asset
  • Competent computer skills: Windows XP, Microsoft Word & Excel
